Run with Perseverance the Race with the Rev. Dr. Kristofer Lindh-Payne

SSS

St. Francis Spiritual Sustenance : August 9, 2022 ===================================

In today’s video, Kristofer reflects on both the metaphor of what the apostle Paul describes as “run(ning) with perseverance the race”, as well as the actual effects of what our bodies go through - exhaustion - when we have finished a race. Running is a physical, emotional, and spiritual discipline for Kristofer, though he understands that running is only one of many, many ways that we can take care of ourselves. What practices do you have in your life that help you get and stay healthy? As he continues his journey of recovery from Covid, Kristofer shares some “mile markers” in ministry and invites us all to ponder the path that each of us are on - individually and collectively as a parish & community center.

Hebrews 12:1

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely,[a] and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us.
