That’s a great story. That’s the story of God’s call to Moses in Exodus 3.
Scripture is full of great stories - great stories of God’s call on ordinary people who then go on to have their lives changed in extraordinary ways. Abraham and Sarah, Hagar, Elijah, Mary, the Disciples…
Your life is also a great story.
Your life is also filled with experiences that God uses to call you to be your best self, to know yourself better and to know who you are as beloved of God.
Stories of these experiences are foundational stories, stories that show you something about yourself, about who you are and what you are called to do.
They may be stories from your childhood, stories of a great teacher or mentor, stories of obstacles overcome or stories of profound joy and peace.
What are your foundational stories?
What do they show you about God’s work in your life?
Spend some time today reflecting on those stories. Write them down. Share them with someone.
