A Network of Mutuality

Kristofer’s video for today invites us to ponder the ways in which our lives are interconnected in - as Dr. King describes - a “network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny”. As we reflect on blessed Martin’s life and witness, and pay attention to the injustices that exist within this world we live in, I wonder what in particular you notice. I wonder how you are affected by the self-evident truth that, while all humans may be created equally and made in the image and likeness of God, the society in which we live continues to be enslaved by the sin of racism. Privilege enables some to deny this reality, but the truth remains that we are all connected and God’s liberative effort is inescapable. I wonder what you feel called to do as we act for justice together.
