I Love Stories!
Don't you love stories? I like stories of many kinds. I like stories in books most of all but also in movies, or stories that a good storyteller will tell. Ah, stories are the foundation of our society. Our ancient texts include many stories; the classic books of Western Civilization includes many stories.
This week's Bible reading has some great stories in it - the story of Joshua giving an ultimatum to the Israelites - will they serve God or not?
The stories in the book of Judges, where we find Israel in the place where all of us have found ourselves, in trouble. We will read the story of Samson - a strange man! And of Deborah, an amazing woman, and others. And then on to the book of Ruth... I LOVE the book of Ruth! Its a beautifully told book of love and faithfulness and care for one another.
So many stories! Enjoy!
