Kristofer and Ask a Friar

Ask a Friar

Today begins the first day of our 100 days of reading the bible together. Our summer program begins with Genesis 1, but since Kristofer just preached on that text last Sunday he thought he would offer some early reflections on being a Franciscan Friar instead.

As you have likely heard, at the end of last week Kristofer took vows as a novice in the Order of St. Francis (OSF). The OSF is a religious community of brothers from various parts of the Anglican Communion around the world. They seek to follow Jesus in a radical way and pattern their own lives in ever increasing alignment with rules of life of Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi. Kristofer’s reflection for today will begin to share a bit more about what this journey means to him. If you would like to learn more about the OSF, you can explore a little further on their website at https://www.orderofsaintfrancis.org/. You can also call in or log on to the virtual coffee hour to ask questions.
