Kristofer and the Big Rocks in our Lives

The Big Rocks in our Lives

“And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb. They had been saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?” When they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled back.” (Mark 16:2-5)

On this day that we commemorate Joanna, Mary, and Salome’s experience at the empty tomb two thousand years ago, Kristofer invites us to reflect on that large stone and the big rocks in our own lives today. He records his video from the rocks along the Lake Michigan shoreline in Chicago from a park close to where he attended seminary. He also includes a photo taken from St. Francis’ outdoor worship space with the new stone that has just been placed upon the altar’s tree base. Thanks to Cathy & Steve Siperko, Kenny Daniels, Ray Payne and William Hardisky for the work they did to put the one large stone in place and “roll away” the two old ones.
