What is best for the person sitting next to me?
We are talking about music this week in the SSS's, preparing for our Music Forum on Sunday. As we prepare, lets look at the many different kinds of music we might hear in church: hymns, songs, psalms, sung or played in a traditional manner with traditional instrumentation, played by a group who plays Orff instruments, sung and played in a jazz style, or gospel style, or contemporary style, or any other musical style you can think of.
We all have preferences. What are yours? What are the preferences of the person sitting next to you when you are able to come to church? Are they the same? Can we make room in our new church for a variety of music, musical styles, and musical preferences?
Come to the Forum on Sunday and discuss! Other options, if Sunday doesn't work for you is Tuesday at noon, or Thursday at 7:00 pm. We would love to hear from everyone.
