Kristofer and Preparing for Christmas
Today Kristofer offers a reflection that focuses us in this season of Advent, and we hope it helps you to prepare and get ready for Christmas. What are you doing to prepare? With an array of upcoming creative worship opportunities, we pray you will find a variety of ways to engage. Just as Joseph and Mary had to register themselves, so too do we ask you to do the same if you intend to attend one of the three in-person liturgies on Christmas Eve. We want to ensure that there is "room in the inn" for all who wish to be there in person. If we know in advance that more people want to attend than we have spaces available, then we can plan accordingly and perhaps put some other offerings in place. Rest assured that technology has improved significantly since the birth of Jesus, so you are all also able to witness the wonder of this occasion virtually through our live-stream of the services. While congregational song is not safe in this pandemic time, we can still listen and hum along, as music, prayers, candles, greenery, storytelling and communion invites us into the mystery of the incarnational love of God. Christ is coming. Prepare the way.
