Kristofer and Lillian tag team on this post-Labor Day reflection. First, Lillian shares a reading from Genesis as she recounts the story of God creating the heavens and earth and on the 7th day resting. This particular reading comes from a coloring-page prayer wheel that was shared with the children of St. Francis as part of Vacation Bible School this summer. Kristofer then elaborates on the Genesis passage and empathizes the cycle of work and rest. Where do you see yourself in this framing of work-life balance? What form is Sabbath rest taking in your life? There is much work to do in world, as we minister together, but we need to also make room for rest, refreshment, and re-creation.
