Our Timonium community is experiencing increased food insecurity, and we are all working together to address it. We are so grateful for the recent increase in donations coming to St. Francis! All are welcome to donate unexpired food here.
Ways to donate food:
- Indoor Choice Pantry (ICP): at the ICP our shoppers choose shelf-stable items, diapers, toiletries, and some frozen items for their homes. Often we have a particular need for one item or another. Reach out to the Food Ministry team to arrange a donation for the ICP. Alternatively, follow this link to view an Amazon Wishlist.
- Free Little Food Pantry: the Free Little Food Pantry is outdoors near the Community Center entrance and open 24/7 for the community. All are welcome to donate shelf-stable food here. Do you have a few extra cans of something in your cabinet to share? This is a great place for a quick donation drop during off hours. Remember to check the expiration date!
- Community Fridge: this fridge is outdoors near the Community Center entrance and open 24/7 for the community. The fridge is a mutual aid project in partnership with the Baltimore Community Fridge Network. Volunteers are invited to share fresh foods and pre-made dinners in the fridge. Visit the Baltimore Community Fridge Network to learn how best to contribute. Remember to check the expiration date!
- Welcome Table Wednesday community dinner: our dinner teams love to have plenty of kid-friendly food on hand for these family-friendly weekly dinners. Help with condiments is appreciated as well. Consider donating frozen pizzas, nuggets, salt, olive oil, or other cooking staples. Reach out to the Welcome Table Wednesday Steering Committee to learn more about the needs of the weekly dinner.
- Make a Financial Gift: Financial gifts are welcome! To make a financial gift just visit our giving page and select “Food Ministry” from the drop-down menu.
Questions? Just reach out to us in the Parish Office and we will get you where you need to go!
