Christ in Creation and the Wilderness with Kristofer

SSS

Christ with us in Creation. Christ with us in the Wilderness.

In today’s reflection, Kristofer speaks to us from the sanctuary of St. Francis as he wanders around in the Wilderness space where many of us gather indoors for worship. The focus of his video is the theme of God’s presence with us in creation. Kristofer draws attention to some of the sacramental items that adorn this part of the building, and how they invite us to deeper meaning and connection. He encourages us to ponder the original intent of decisions in the design of the sacred space, but he asks us to especially consider this Wilderness time that we are traveling through as a Parish and Community Center, and how all of this converges to bring about a new creation. With new additions of stained glass, we can see outward and visible signs of how Jesus entered into creation through rivers, mountains, gardens and fields. When we worship - inside or outside, online or in person - we are given the opportunity to be transformed by Christ.
