Abiding in the Presence of the Resurrected One

In these first days of the 50-day Easter season, Kristofer reflects on what it means to abide in the presence of the Resurrected Christ. Can you imagine what it was like for the disciples in those first appearances they experienced? To be overwhelmed by trauma and grief, with all their hopes seemingly dashed, suddenly and repeatedly meeting the Messiah in the most miraculous circumstances: how would you respond? How would those encounters change you? As you embark on this journey, into and through Easter, where are you seeing signs of the Resurrected One in your daily life? As we abide in Christ’s presence, may we be transformed by his power and love and become the people that God longs for us to be. 

O God, who by the glorious resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light: Grant that we, who have been raised with him, may abide in his presence and rejoice in the hope of eternal glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be dominion and praise for ever and ever. Amen.
