Stations of the Resurrection

Alleluia! Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!

I don't know about you, but for me it's usually much easier to identify signs of the way of the cross in my life, in creation, and in the life of the world, than it is to identify signs of resurrection. Why is that, I wonder. It has also been easier for me to mark the full season of Lent than it has been to mark and celebrate the full season of Easter.

In my prayer and wondering how I might remedy this, I discovered the Stations of the Resurrection.

The Church of England identifies 19 stations and has a liturgy associated with them in their Common Worship materials. As a spiritual practice this Eastertide, I have committed to pray through these brief Scripture passages and prayers, and create my own booklet of images that arise in me as I pray. In today's brief video, I share how I am doing this, and invite you to explore the Stations of the Resurrection.

You can find the Stations of Resurrection that I'm using here: https://www.churchofengland.org/prayer-and-worship/worship-texts-and-resources/common-worship/churchs-year/times-and-seasons/easter#mmm218

I'm coloring - maybe you would like to journal? Jot words that stand out to you from the passage? Make notes, ask wondering questions, anything that comes to you as you enter this practice.

May the spiritual practice of creating your own Stations of the Resurrection bring you your own encounters with the Risen Christ this season. Peace Be with you!
