Cultivating Interreligious Belonging in Baltimore County

SSS

St. Francis received a fellowship from the Institute for Islamic, Jewish and Christian Studies to promote interreligious dialogue. The team read Genesis 1:1 together with Jewish and Muslim congregations. We explored the many ways this verse can be translated from the Hebrew and how that translation impacts on how we understand the relationship between God and humanity, God and creation.

Janet Raffetto, Amelia Franz and Amy are inviting Muslim and Jewish congregations to St. Francis in April. This is an opportunity to share our worship experience with them, share how we at St. Francis care for creation in our community garden and all our grounds, and to build relationship across religious difference. If you would like to participate in this experience and planning this learning opportunity, please talk to Amelia, Janet, or Amy
