FOOD MINISTRY UPDATE — March 2023

=========================================================================================

We have so much going on this month!  At the March 2 Pantry on the Go (POG), we distributed food to 191 families, which equated to helping 700 people. ANOTHER RECORD BREAKING POG!! Thanks to the 17 volunteers who helped make it happen!

Our April 6, 2023 POG will be challenging because it is spring break for Baltimore County schools and many of our volunteers, including Dulaney HS students, will be away.  Please sign up for this event using the Pantry on the Go Volunteer link when it is available later this month.

Also, for the last three weeks, St. Francis has participated in the Maryland Food Bank (MFB) Retail Recovery Program. This means that we signed an agreement with the MFB to pick up fresh food three times a week from the Towson Safeway.  We are bringing to St. Francis baked goods, fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, prepared foods, and seafood. And, you may have tasted some of this food at a Welcome Wednesday dinner or at coffee hour.  We are also distributing this food at the Indoor Choice Pantry.  We pick up on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday mornings and need help bringing food into the church building. Sign up for this activity HERE.

Thanks for your support and we look forward to your participation in our various food ministry outreach programs.
