Holy Week @ St. Francis 2024
Holy Week 2024 begins soon at St. Francis and throughout the Anglican Communion. Our Parish & Community Center here in Timonium, MD offers many opportunities for at home and in-person Worship. Holy Week begins with Palm & Passion Sunday and an outdoor Palm Procession on Sunday, March 24, and ends with an Easter Vigil at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Baltimore. All lead up to our Festive Worship on Easter Day, March 31, at 10:00 a.m. Before that joyful day comes, we will walk through Holy Week with Jesus. This year Rev. Sara recommends signing up for a Holy Week Daily Text Experience. Simply text HOLYWEEK to (833) 629-0176. You will receive texts throughout the week marking important events at the moment they transpired in history. Everyone is welcome to worship at St. Francis. If you are new, then Holy Week is a great time to visit us and learn what we’re all about. We can’t wait to meet you!
Highlights from our Holy Week calendar (pictured below) include: Contemplative Worship; Maundy Thursday Worship with Footwashing; and Good Friday with child-oriented Stations of the Cross, Solemn Worship, and Tenebrae Worship; with Holy Saturday at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, the seat of our diocese, to support our teens going through the rite of Confirmation; and an egg hunt following Easter Day Worship!
