Presence and Hospitality with Molly

Presence and Hospitality

In today's SSS, Molly talks about the importance of listening and being present for others. At St. Francis, we have many opportunities to engage with each other and with members of the community at large to be in relationship, share in each other's experiences, learn about each other's wants and needs, and build trust and solidarity.

Our parishioners, staff, and volunteers are all doing this already in many ways. We can hone the skills of active listening, empathy, and compassion to help us do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly. Please reach out to molly@stfrancismd.org if you want to become involved in this initiative to train members of this community to be able to engage in difficult and important conversations with people experiencing challenges who have come to St. Francis for hope and light in a dark time.

We can be the change we want to see in the world, and that transformation starts at home.
