About Me:
My early life was spent in Baltimore. Though my journey would take me many places, I have always suspected that my path would lead me back to where it all began. I attended Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts where I studied psychology and philosophy. I received my MSW from University of Maryland, Baltimore and am currently a licenced social worker wearing the hats of both a therapist and community organizer. I currently live in Baltimore City with my fiance and our two cats. In my free time (if there is such a thing), I like to read theory, watch movies, and engage my fellow social service workers in conversation about how to change the world.

My Role:
My job description tells me that I am the resident Community Organizer. I like to think that this means that my role is to do the deep listening work necessary to help people realize their potential, make connections with their fellow community members, and feed the fire that drives them to make change in a structured, coherent way. Our relationships to those around us are integral to our ability to not only challenge the systems of oppression and white supremacy that dominate our world, but to fundamentally change ourselves and how we relate to one another as people. In brief, my job is to help steward that transformative process in whatever forms it takes.

My Dream for St. Francis:
My dream for St. Francis is that we all find our role to play. I hope to see the members, staff, and service recipients work together to redefine “community” and what it means to be in community with one another. I believe that through this work together we can hone and develop our powers, our drives, and our consciousness to realize the world we want to see.

A Few of my Favorite Things:
Movie: I love films that push the boundaries of cinema. I particularly enjoy the works of David Lynch, Werner Herzog, Alejandro Jodorowsky, and Denis Villeneuve.
Vacation Spot: I take a yearly sojourn to Western Massachusetts where I went to college. I have never been able to recreate the peace I find there anywhere else.

Fun fact:
I collect a variety of custom Furbies (yes, the 1998 Hasbro toy).
